Join us at the new Heritage Center’s beautiful event space for an intimate concert with Terri Hendrix and Lloyd Maines to pay tribute to the legendary Jimmie Rodgers, the Father of Country Music.
Terri Hendrix is a singer-songwriter and Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Artist, who has been performing with Lloyd Maines for over 30 years. Lloyd Maines is a Grammy Award winning music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and the Texas Heritage Songwriters Association’s 2027 Darrell K Royal “Texas Music Legend Award” winner with lots of music and stories to share. This annual event will feature a discussion led by Kathleen Hudson, retired Schreiner University professor, oral historian, and nonprofit arts leader whose work documents and celebrates the rich traditions of Texas music and culture.
